GREENCASTLE, Pa. – Greencastle-Antrim community members turned out in force April 11 for the annual Spring Clean-Up Day, with 57 volunteers gathering in Center Square to help beautify the area.
Supported by Greencastle Borough and Antrim Township, participants worked in teams to collect more than 40 bags of trash, along with scrap lumber, pallets and discarded tires from around the community.
Volunteer groups included employees and representatives from Pete & Gerry’s, Chambersburg FBLA, the Franklin County Library System, Greencastle Weis Markets, Patriot Federal Credit Union and Teflon Roofing. Their combined efforts resulted in a noticeable improvement to public spaces and roadways.
Event organizers also recognized Jacob of Harrison Creative Company for documenting the cleanup efforts throughout the day.
Organizers expressed appreciation for all volunteers, noting their shared commitment to keeping Pennsylvania communities clean and vibrant. The annual event continues to highlight the impact of community collaboration and civic pride.
