WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Buttonwood Nature Center hosted an Earth Celebration and Recycle Reuse Yard Sale Fundraiser on Saturday at Pine Hill Park, bringing together vendors, music and educational activities in a rain-or-shine community event.
The day included performances by Across the Pond from noon to 3 p.m. under the pavilion. Organizers said the celebration was designed to support Buttonwood while encouraging reuse, recycling and outdoor learning.
The WoodMobile was on-site for tours, giving visitors a chance to learn more about Buttonwood’s educational outreach. The event also featured a recycle reuse yard sale, with activities centered on home, garden, toys, tools and other items that could find a second life.
A lineup of vendors and participants helped shape the day’s Earth Celebration theme, while sponsors supported both the celebration and the yard sale fundraiser. Event signage noted that the gathering would go on rain or shine at Pine Hill Park, 12684 Mentzer Gap Road.
