Waynesboro YMCA
On Tuesdays through June 9th, the YMCA will be holding a Bible book study will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the community room. Members and non-members are welcome, no book is required, but is recommended.
On Saturday, May 23rd and Friday, June 5th, the Y will be hosting HSI Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED Training. From 8 – 9:30 a.m. blended recertification will be offered, and from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. will be the blended initial certification. Registration is required through the PA Keys website.
On Sunday, June 14th, the Y is partnering with CertiGuard to offer a lifeguard training course from 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $165.
On June 22nd and 23rd, the Y will also be hosting lifeguard instructor certification. It will run from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. both days and will have a cost of $350.
Hagerstown YMCA
On Thursdays in May and June, Hagerstown YMCA will be holding Special Olympics in the large pool from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, May 27th, from 5 – 6:30 p.m., come learn Line Dancing at the Y. It’s free for members, and costs $25 for non-members
On Sunday, May 31st, June 14th, and June 28th, come participate in the Fiber Art Group at the Y from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. You should bring your own supplies for your preferred fiber art.
Chambersburg YMCA
On Mondays in May and June, Chambersburg YMCA will be holding a Golf League at 5 p.m. The cost is $40 per person for Y members, and $50 per person for non-Y members. Course fees are $23 per person per 9 holes weekly.
On Thursday, May 28th, the Y will be holding QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer) training from 12 – 1 p.m. This training is free, but space is limited.
From June 22nd – June 25th, the Y will be hosting the Boys Basketball Summer Camp alongside Coach Shawn Shreffler for grades 1st – 6th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. The cost for members will be $85 and for non-members will be $95.
Fort Ritchie Community Center
On Thursday, May 21st from 11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., the American Red Cross and Fort Ritchie Community Center will be hosting a blood drive.
On Saturday, May 30th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., the center will be hosting their 2026 Teen Summit. This event is open and free to all teens from 12 – 17.
On Tuesday, May 26th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and on Friday, May 29th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Lindsay Ridenhour from the Washington County Health Department will be at the Community Center to offer free blood pressure and pre-diabetes screenings.
Also on Tuesday May 26th, June 9th and June 23rd Tabitha’s Table, located in Smithsburg, will be providing the community with food items from their pantry from 10:30 a.m. until the food items are gone.
On Wednesdays, May 27th, and June 24th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can treat yourself to a mobile chair massage! You can pay by the minute for a 10-, 15- or 20-minute session with Miranda Tyler, massage therapist. Appointments are by walk-in only, and all clients must sign a liability waiver before receiving service.
